Profound from Syneron Candela is a new FDA cleared non-surgical treatment that uses a radiofrequency device to target skin aging, on the neck and jawline.

The treatment works by stimulating the three key building blocks for healthy, youthful skin – natural elastin, collagen, and hyaluronic acid. The device delivers radiofrequency energy via hairlike “micro needles” below the surface layers of the skin, to show results after one session. 

The treatment is performed by a physician, is minimally invasive, and its results are intended to last five years, according to the company. See the studies’ results here.
